How to Choose the Right Class
Dance Babies - ages 3-7yrs.
BareFeet provides a creative and nurturing environment for young dancers where movement is explored. The emphasis is on expressive movement, basic dance positions, coordination and rhythm. Children develop basic skills in dance, movement, and music while having fun. The wonder of dance is explored within the gentle discipline of a positive classroom environment. Age appropriate class work begins the foundation of dance skills, inspiration, and self expression.
Children - ages 8-12yrs.
The emphasis at this age is to provide training in technique, education, vocabulary and choreography. Our program is designed for the student who is mature enough to begin a more sound foundational technique in a one hour long class. Students may or may not have had previous dance training. Focus is on the execution of skills necessary to move forward technically and artistically. We will help with proper level placement.
Teen - ages 13-18 yrs.
Dance for fun, recreation, or train to pursue a dance career. Sound technique is developed by regular class attendance and performance. Student’s stair step in this track when they are able to adequately execute the level of difficulty presented. Generally students take the same level for two years before moving up. Teens are also able to take Adult Open level classes, with the instructor's permission.
Adult Open Classes
BareFeet offers training to both experienced and inexperienced adult dancers with a comprehensive program which includes Yoga, Zumba, Pilates, fitness bootcamps, Classical Ballet, Modern, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, and Burlesque dance. These classes are open level unless specified.
